If you need stunning, exceptional quality furniture, both handmade in South Africa or imported then visit Claudia and Ian’s Tall Trees’ open day.
Sunday, 31 August 2014, I experienced their expansive collection, spanning warehouse-size rooms, upstairs and downstairs and even outside on their ‘rubbish dump’ where everything accompanied a brilliant price – even the imports.
Except adorable bleating Yo-yo (rejected by her mother), just 7 days old – the friendliest lamb every met, not that I’ve met many lambs but I think I’d rather have a Yo-yo than a dog.
If only I’d discovered Tall Trees 9 months ago upon starting the furnishing of my new abode – I would have had everything custom designed. What a travesty!
You will find such gems on their farm in Cato Ridge, KZN – about 35 minutes from Durban. Absolutely is it worth a visit even if it is for a morning or afternoon out and to enjoy a light bite to eat while relaxing in a serene setting. Look at those photos!
They are also at Shongweni Farmers’ Market displaying their broad-range of frames in all shapes and sizes and effects. I was on a hunt for spectacular frames to showcase my photography, and this is where I’d heard about their open day. Oh and they occupy a shop at Gateway Theatre of Shopping. Do yourself a favour go to an open day (it will not be a first) … and pass on this recommendation to everyone you know.
I can’t wait for an entire wall in my place to be donned with my photos in different sized frames. The hard part shall entail selecting the photographs.
